What are Somatic Exercises?
Somatic exercises work directly with the nervous system to release chronic muscular tension, relieve chronic pain, and improve posture and movement. The exercises are performed extremely slowly and gently and are appropriate for all ages and fitness levels.
Somatic exercises allow you to prevent, alleviate and recover from many common conditions such as chronic muscle and joint pain, disc problems, sciatica, scoliosis, rounded posture, plantar fasciitis, TMJ disorder and more! If your condition is being caused by the way you are using your body - as most musculoskeletal conditions are - then SOMATIC EXERCISES CAN HELP YOU!!
WHAT TO BRING?
Bring a yoga mat, water bottle. Both classes are in air-conditioned comfort!
Wear comfortable clothing which enables you to move freely.
(If you are not keen on getting down on the floor on a Yoga mat - please come along to the class at Woree Dance 2XS where there is a raised floor to make getting up and down a breeze! )
